SucksHosting

Company

Small footprint, honestly reported.

One node is a modest thing to run. That makes it easy to be precise about it — and easy to avoid the vague "green hosting" badge that means nothing.

No offset programme, no badge, no claims we can't measure

What we can measure

Power draw at the rack, idle versus loaded, and the share of the machine we actually sell. Those three numbers decide whether this stays a hobby project or grows. When we have a full month of readings, they go on this page — including the unflattering ones.

What we won't claim

  • "100% renewable" unless we can say which contract backs it.
  • "Carbon neutral" as a slogan. Offsets are not the same as using less.
  • Numbers we haven't measured, however nice they'd look on a landing page.

What we're doing next

  • Oversell less, not more: 1.5 GB means 1.5 GB, even if that caps how many free servers fit.
  • Decommission idle containers instead of leaving them powered for a "comeback".
  • Publish a plain yearly summary of power use and hardware lifespan.
Why this page is short

Because a sustainability page full of stock photos and percentages would be longer, and less true. When there is data, it lands here.
