Terms of service

Short version: use the server, don't break the node or the law, and understand that a free server on one machine comes without an uptime guarantee.

Last updated 25 October 2026

1. The service

SucksHosting provides Minecraft server hosting. By claiming a server or signing in you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service — that's the whole enforcement mechanism for this paragraph.

2. Free tier

  • The free server includes 1.5 GB of RAM, one edition (Java or Bedrock) and one backup slot.
  • No payment method is required and nothing is charged.
  • Free capacity is limited by one physical node and shared fairly. We may decline or remove servers when the node is full.
  • There is no trial expiry: a free server stays free while it complies with these terms and capacity allows.

3. Fair use

You are responsible for what runs on your server. Not allowed:

  • Attacking, scanning or flooding other systems from your server.
  • Spam, phishing, malware or bot networks.
  • Content that is illegal where you or the node is located.
  • Reselling or mining on the free tier, or using it as a general-purpose compute host.
  • Attempting to reach other servers, the panel or data that isn't yours.

A finding of abuse can lead to immediate suspension without notice. We'll explain why afterwards, and you can reply.

4. Accounts

Accounts are created through SucksHosting ID. Keep that account secure; anything done through it is treated as done by you. One person, one free server unless we agree otherwise.

Paid plans are not available yet. Prices shown anywhere as "TBD" are placeholders, not offers. When they launch, the price, billing period and cancellation terms will be published before purchase, and these terms will be updated.

6. Availability

The service runs on a single node. There is no SLA, no uptime percentage and no compensation for downtime on the free tier. We aim to be reachable and honest when something breaks, which is a different promise from "always online".

Back up anything you can't lose. Backups are included, but they live on the same machine.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of your worlds, configs and uploads. You grant us the minimum permission needed to store, back up and serve them. We don't look inside server files except to investigate abuse, a security incident or a support request you opened.

Don't upload material you don't have the rights to distribute — including paid plugins and modpacks.

8. Ending the service

  • You can delete your server from the panel at any time. Files are removed with it.
  • We can suspend or remove a server for abuse, non-payment (once paid tiers exist) or a legal requirement.
  • If we shut the free tier down entirely, we'll announce it in advance and give you time to download your world.

9. Liability

The free service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost worlds, lost profits or indirect damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here takes away your statutory consumer rights.

10. Changes

We may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes will be dated on this page and, where practical, announced by email before they take effect.

Template note

These terms are a starting point for a small host, not legal advice. Have them reviewed before you take real signups or payments.
